What is the Range of Impact from ACE Interface Master Trainer Program?

August 25, 2014
“I cannot say enough about the collective mass of interest in Minnesota (MN) and elsewhere.  Here are just some things that have emerged as a result of my presentations in the first six months after the ACE Interface education event.  (Keep in mind that every coach may have similar stories.)”
1. A "Trauma Informed Approaches Innovation Lab" that is a partnership between Wilder Research, Minnesota Communities Caring for Children (MCCC), Karina Forrest-Perkins, and the Social Innovation Lab founder, Michael Bischoff. This lab has convened sources of multiple energies around this work in MN, held a convening in June of about 120 or so invested stakeholders, and are seeking a technical assistance site to emerge that will "host" or "hold" community coaches for further work in different areas. No revenue sources have emerged to fund it however.
2. Work on the Red Lake reservation to begin coaching (two days in August, plus other consultation) on how to inform and guide around transforming the school system to embed this work with their children, curriculum, administration, and staff.
 3. Bemidji Early Childhood and Family Collaboratives Coalition - coaching and systems change guidance related to this science.
4. Coaching and systems change guidance related to this science in Winthrop MN (rural-western MN) with the Sibley County Family Collaborative Coalition.
5. Minneapolis Foster Care organization (Family Alternatives) - coaching and systems change guidance related to this science.
6. Keynote in Oklahoma for their OK Institute for Child Advocacy Fall Legislative Forum on what MN is doing, what they could do, and what this type of change might require in OK.
7. Recruited to write a chapter on ACEs and Forensic Science for a new textbook.
8. Creating a curriculum for one of our county jail substance abuse programs based on overwhelming positive evaluations using this information in their treatment program last year.
